Military engineer. In 1482, Leonardo moved from Florence to Milan to work for a duke named Ludovico Sforza. Part of his job was designing war machinery for the duke. Though a peaceful vegetarian, Leonardo designed many weapons, including guns, tanks, missles, and fortresses.
