A Lifetime of Color: Study Art

Jasper Cropsey (1823-1900)
Jacob Cropsey studied architecture before turning to landscape painting. After his initial art instruction, he traveled widely in Europe, where his works were displayed at the International Exhibition of 1862. Returning home in 1863, he opened a studio in New York and painted many scenes of the American landscape.
